How has SHRM impacted or advanced your professional development?
- SHRM equipped me with the resources and opportunities to take my career off the ground while I was a student and after graduating from SJSU. Today, it continues to be an organization and community that contributes to my continued success as a professional. I'm surrounded by a network of smart, analytical, and creative people who keep pushing the envelope to maximize human potential, who put people first, and motivates everyone to be their best. SHRM is so important to me because of the support it provides students and professionals wherever they are in their careers.

How has SHRM impacted or advanced your professional development?
- SHRM at SJSU has been highly beneficial to my personal and professional development. Serving as an officer helped me gain valuable leadership, program management, event planning, and marketing skills and experience that employers are looking for. I've been able to meet many amazing HR professionals through the SHRM at SJSU network, and develop close friendships with my peers. Joining this student organization was definitely one of the best decisions of my life!
